well i just finished my snake head about 5hours ago so its been a really long time and well let me just say I love it. This is my first ever painting done on MS paint. I just wish I knew how to shade pictures. But hey I want your opinion. should I keep on drawing this kinda stuff or not. :smile

Yes, I think that you most definitely can continue to draw. But if you use a tutorial or a reference, it is a good idea to mention in your art threads that you used one. It helps keep people from assuming things, and can get you some helpful tips and tricks from more experienced artists in the community.

MS paint tends to discourage a lot of blossoming artists into not ever coming close to their full potential. My suggestion would be to download GIMP. It's free.

In gimp, this is a good way to shade when you are new:
Start with flat colors. Just one solid color. Easy enough.

Click the little button in the layers window that locks the transparency. That way you don't go outside the lines.

Use the paintbrush tool with black selected. Make sure the brush is a fuzzy 'soft' brush, not a hard one. Lower the opacity (raise transparency) on the black and start brushing spots that should be darker. The smudge tool can come in handy too. :smile

Thank you and I've been drawing this kinda stuff since I was 6 so I've been drawing for 6 years

thank you and no i did not use a tutorial i drew it free handed no help.
